Fue miembro del programa C\u00e1tedras CONACYT para j\u00f3venes investigadores por 6 a\u00f1os en el Instituto de Investigaciones Oceanol\u00f3gicas de la UABC. Ha participado en conferencias plenarias de congresos nacionales e internacionales. Cuenta con m\u00e1s de 30 art\u00edculos en revistas de alto impacto internacional JCR. Actualmente se encuentra adscrito a la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana \u2013 Xochimilco, como Profesor\/Investigador Titular Es parte del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores Nivel 1 desde 2017. Es miembro del comit\u00e9 editorial de la Revista Aquaculture y editor invitado de la revista Agricultue para el n\u00famero especial \u201cSustainable Aquafeeds\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Jos\u00e9 Antonio Mata, a biologist from the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana (Mexico City), completed his Master of Science in Aquaculture studies at CICESE and a Doctorate in Science from the University of C\u00e1diz and the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia. He was a member of the CONACYT Chairs program for young researchers for 6 years at the UABC Oceanological Research Institute. He has participated in plenary conferences at national and international conferences. He has more than 30 articles in high-impact international JCR journals. He is currently assigned to the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana \u2013 Xochimilco, as a Professor\/Researcher. He is part of the National System of Researchers (Level 1) since 2017.
